Position Overview
We are looking for a well-connected, goal-oriented STM publishing professional with proven success in digital content rights licensing and business development.
The Director, Publisher Relations is responsible for growing our existing 150+ publisher relationships as well as establishing new partnerships to significantly expand the multi-lingual digital content available to our clients through what is already the industrys largest and most respected catalog of STM content.
This role requires a large preexisting and verifiable network of senior contacts with top STM publishers globally, as well as significant digital licensing and business development experience working with publishers throughout the world. This position reports to our CEO.
Responsibilities
Manage and cultivate existing publisher relationships, and identify and develop new strategic publisher partnerships
Negotiate, acquire and expand rights to key digital content from publishers around the world
Identify and develop opportunities for Infotrieve to add significant value for publishing partners beyond existing content distribution arrangements
Work with head of product management to identify and anticipate client content requirements
Educate publishers on Infotrieve service offerings
Requirements
A well-established network of senior contacts with top STM publishers around the world
Minimum of 5+ years of experience licensing digital content internationally
Experience with digital rights contract negotiations
Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
BS/BA; MBA preferred
